JR-COMETS SIGN UPS

FRIDAY MARCH 19th 6pm to 9pm FOR RETURNING PLAYERS

SUNDAY MARCH 21th NOON to 4pm FOR NEW PLAYERS

SIGN UPS WILL BE AT OLD SMOKIE BUILDING

With several hard decisions on our plate this year. The JR Comets have decided to leave Tri-County. Being one of the five founding teams of Tri-County this decision was very hard to make but we feel it is what's best for our kids and parents. We are forming a new league with Wilmington-Manteno-Bradley-Momence-Monee-Peotone. The name of the new league will be ILLINOIS VALLEY YOUTH TACKLE FOOTBALL LEAGUE. We feel with the new league this will cut down on travel time for the parents and all teams will make the playoffs. Which I know where two big issues parents had last year. We feel very good about this and hope to have a great year.

The JR Comets would like to thank the following organizations for years of great games and support.
CHANOOKA BRAVES-COAL CITY MINERS-SANDWICH INDIANS-PLANO REAPERS-MORRIS CHIEFS-SENECA PRIDE. We wish you the best and have a great year.

 COMET NEWS

The JR Comets are looking for people who want to help out this year. We need someone to run the spirit stand at all home games.
We also have bonfire and homecoming committee's that need help.
Anyone interested in helping in any of those areas please email me at jrcomets8301@att.net

The JR Comet board has added two new voting positions. The Cheer Director and the Trustee's will now have a vote. Kathleen Sluhoski will again be the Cheer Director and the three Trustee's are Bill Wennberg,Sandy Davalos and Rhonda Smith. I know this is just a start but we are trying to move in the right direction. We will be looking at other positions to add to the board in the future.

The next board meeting
January 24th at 7:00pm
